Dog Fighting

Dogfighting has long been a thriving underground industry across the country in both urban and rural areas. All evidence suggests that dogfighting is on the rise.

Organized dogfighting is illegal everywhere in the United States and is a felony in all 50 states. (See how your state rates on dogfighting laws.) Despite this, it remains widespread, especially in the form of "street fighting," in part because of the glamorization of the cruel practice in pop culture venues like music videos.

Check out the PSA that Maureen K. O'Brien of Tallahassee worked on and is now airing on WCTV...It sends a strong message regarding the horrors of dog fighting.  (Note the file size is 4.5 MB.)
